For the Nov-Dec Challenge, we asked you to write about any of the Twilight characters celebrating a holiday. Here are our top picks:
1. Winter Snow by j3nn
A story about coming full circle, “Winter Snow” gives us a glimpse of Rosalie’s past, and how the events of the Twilight Saga change her life for the better. It’s a story that reminds me of one of my favorite Christmas movies: “It’s a Wonderful Life,” even though Rosalie never wishes she’d never been born and is not visited by an angel named Clarence. “Winter Snow” shows us that everything happens for a reason, and that there is always light after the darkest times of our lives.
2. Christmas Cookies by Natilie Sawada
“Christmas Cookies” is an honest look at some of the sacrifices Bella made when she chose her life with Edward. Though a happy story, and filled with bright, amusing moments, it also shows the bittersweet side to Bella’s “happily ever after” with Edward.
3. Merry Christmas by Iris Messenger
A story about forgiveness and love — true holiday themes — with a rare look at Esme’s darker past. “Merry Christmas” is a simple, honest look at what the holidays are really all about.
Honorable Mentions:
The Prodigal Son Returns by TwilightAlison
A story about Edward’s time alone, and his decision to rejoin Carlisle & Esme after living on his own. The story examines Edward’s difficult choices, and his struggle to accept forgiveness and unconditional love. This story will give you the warm fuzzies that the holiday season is all about.
A Pirate’s Life for Me by Savannah Cullen
This is simply an amusing little story — but the author gets extra points for creativity. The challenge was open to any holiday, but she chose something different from anyone else. It’s also very well-written and extremely amusing.
The winners all get this nifty banner to post with their story at the Twilight Archives, or any fan fiction site:

Hello
Awesome stories! I really love the The Prodigal Son Returns by TwilightAlison. I tried to find you other jobs in the Internet, but I wasn’t lucky. Do you have any other stories? It is just great! I think you got Edward’s personality just perfect!

Thanks!
All of the stories were good but I thought that The Prodigal Son Returns was by far the best one. I’m actually surprised that it only got honorable mention! I agree with Carlisla in that the author really pegged Edward’s personality. Stephenie Meyer would be proud. I would love to hear more about his past, especially his pre-change days. If you have any other stories, please share! limabean526@yahoo.com Thanks!
I loved “A Pirate’s Life for Me”. Emmett’s personality is just right – and it’s hysterical!
