  1. Im dying to see Little Ashes but so far our theater has been telling people that we are not slated to get it here and there maybe on 2 theaters at our State capital that might get it. Ugh so I’ll have to wait until it comes out on DVD or drive about 2-4 hours both ways to see it….

Im always up for a road trip though-ugh just not for Indy but I really do want to see the movie though.

  2. I’ve been dying to see Little Ashes for the longest time. Everyone’s been telling me I’m too Twilight obessed because of it, but really, Salvador Dali is my favorite painter! Rob just made him better :)

  3. In school and even in college I loved Dali’s works of art. He really was tormented and eccentric and so very talented. The way he interpreted the world around him, his emotions, his love, his hate, everything he translated on to canvas. He had some really mental years and those are some of his best works. Dali isn’t my favorite painter but he’s definatly in the top five and other than having to watch HBO Family Artist selectios(which I doubt they’d ever do one on Dali) I thought that was the only way I’ld ever get to see my favorites on film. So Im really uber geeky about seeing Little Ashes and there’s also the Rob factor in it as well. haha.

  4. Unfortunately I doubt this film will be shown in wide release; a real pity for those of us who love Dali and can empathize with his tormented soul and appreciate his eccentric yet vivid portrayal of his fractured world. From the bits I’ve been able to see of the film, it promises to be exceptional and proof that Robert Pattinson is a consumate actor in the true sense of the word..Jack Nicholson – look out!

  5. I once read in a book about Dali’s life that he cared a great deal about Fredrico Lorca but could never return the affections of the poet. He fell in love with Gaia but could never really have any sort of physical relationship with her because he had an extreme genital phobia. She took lovers and he didn’t mind, he even watched. Dali nearly fell apart when she died and even went into a downward spiral when Lorca died. He tried to love Gaia the way he was unable to in his paintings of her. It was based on that the rumors about him and Lorca having a physical love affair started. He was bizzare and unconventional so of course everyone believed it no matter how many times Dali denied it. So is this fiction or a factual story-who knows. I would think that since he had a great fear of intimate physical sex that he would have not be bi-curious. However who knows anything.I agree about Robert Pattinson. It’s been so long since we’ve seen such an actor well for me since Depp actually, that has the depth and drive and performance he has. Just to think he was a kid tormented in school-Ibet all those kids grown now wishes they had been alot kinder to him!
